How can we get the word out about our project?
Even as we speak, countless projects are launching on wadiz. However, just because you launch your product on wadiz doesn’t mean everyone will rush to support you. The detailed project page you worked so hard to create only becomes meaningful when someone reads it,so you’ll need to make a proactive effort to stand out among the many projects. Fortunately, wadiz provides a range of tools to help you connect with your customers.

wadiz Advertising at a Glance
There are several types of wadiz ads. You might be thinking, “Can’t we just use our own channels to advertise?” However, our target audience is as follows. Since crowdfunding is different from general e-commerce, we need to find customers who are more familiar with this model.
- Whether you’re familiar with the wadiz platform
- People who have subscribed to notifications or participated in funding campaigns on wadiz
- Among them, those who are likely to be interested in our product
Display Ads
1) This type of advertising involves purchasing prime ad space within the wadiz app or on the PC website.
2) Pricing varies depending on the placement.
3) Campaigns can be run on a daily basis.

This type of ad allows you to promote your project by purchasing the spots on the PC and app screens where supporters’ eyes linger the most. Most wadizsupporters visit the platform to “browse.”They are “discovery-oriented consumers” who are more likely to think, “Is there anything new and interesting?” rather than “I need to buy a specific item.”
Since they aren’t looking for anything in particular, they tend to start by scanning the most eye-catching banners and projects at the top of the list. Prices vary depending on the placement, and campaigns can be run at a fixed daily rate regardless of the number of clicks.
Social Media Targeted Ads
1) Ads are run through wadiz’s Meta advertising account.
2) You can run ads for the desired duration and budget.
3) You pay per impression. (10% commission applies separately.)

You can think of this as the Instagram/Facebook ads we’re all familiar with. It works by showing compelling creative to customers browsing Instagram, encouraging them to visit your project. However, the ads are run using wadiz’s advertising account, not your brand’s own account. The advantage is that all makers can access the customer data owned by wadiz.
You can set up the ads directly within the wadiz Biz Center. (You must also create the ad creatives yourself.) Since a 10% commission is charged in addition to the ad cost, it’s a good idea to factor this into your budget when planning.
Push Notifications
1) Push messages are sent to wadiz app users and wadiz’s KakaoTalk Plus Friends.
2) Pricing varies depending on the audience size, message format, and placement.
3) Campaigns can be run on a per-campaign basis.

This ad format allows you to promote your products via messages to customers who have added wadiz as a KakaoTalk Plus Friend or who use the wadiz app. Since this is an ad where we proactively reach out to customers via message—even if they aren’t actively using wadiz or social media—it can be considered the most proactive form of advertising.
Given the high price range and wide variety of options, we recommend that you try it out first from a customer’s perspective before deciding whether to proceed. You can experience these ads from a customer’s perspectivebyinstalling thewadizapp and enabling push notifications, or by adding wadiz as a KakaoTalk Plus Friend and waiting for the messages.
If you don’t have a clear strategy, start with targeted ads
There is no one “right” answer when it comes to advertising strategy. Since I, too, take different approaches depending on the product type and the maker’s funding goals, it’s difficult to say there’s an absolute rule. A complacent approach—such as looking at other projects’ examples or average data and thinking, “Should we try that too?”—is even more risky.
Therefore, it’s important to gather initial data specific to your project to establish a basis for decision-making . From this perspective, among the three methods mentioned above , I recommend targeted ads, as they allow you to quickly gather foundational data even with a small budget. In the next post, I’ll cover how to gather initial data through targeted ads and how to interpret that data to set your actual advertising budget.
