Expanding overseas—
wadiz will take the hard part off your hands.

Intro. Feeling overwhelmed about how to get started with expanding overseas?
"Our brand needs to expand overseas someday..."
"We’d love to build a global fanbase too..."
Expanding overseas is a strategy that any growing brand inevitably has to consider.
The more solidly your brand grows domestically, the more you’ll realize—better than anyone else—that “it’s time to go global.”
You know you need to move beyond the domestic market to a bigger stage, but it’s only natural to feel overwhelmed when you actually try to get started.
From language barriers to complex logistics and unfamiliar local marketing strategies... there are so many things to consider.
Wadiz has focused on lowering this “entry barrier” that makers face.
Since launching our global service in April 2025, we’ve developed a variety of features and services to help makers tap into the global market more easily and with less stress.
From translation to international shipping and advertising—
we’ll now introduce, one by one, wadiz’s core features designed to help makers make a successful global debut.
1. The Easiest Way to Break Down Language Barriers: AI Automatic Translation
Wadiz helps ensure that the stories you’ve painstakingly crafted are fully conveyed in the local language.
| Category | AI-powered Story Translation (Free) |
English Story Creation (Paid) |
| Recommended For |
Those who need quick and easy story translation |
Those who need locally optimized planning and polished copy |
| Key Features | Instant translation with one click; makers can edit directly | Story restructuring tailored to the needs of international supporters |
| Expected Benefits | Overcoming language barriers and reducing operational workload | Maximizing conversion rates among local supporters |
When you decide to expand globally, the first hurdle you face is, of course, “language.”
Translating the Story (product page) you’ve worked so hard on into a foreign language isn’t easy. Hiring a professional translator can be costly, and even when using general-purpose AI tools, translating every single image and piece of copy can end up taking a lot of time and effort. wadiz will definitely help ease this translation burden for you.
1) AI Story Translation

Maker Studio supports automatic AI translation of Stories written in Korean into English. Makers can review the AI-translated version and edit each section—from the project title to the story body—themselves. Notably, it doesn’t just translate text— Korean text within images is automatically translated into English, which significantly reduces the time and effort required for design revisions. (Note: This excludes Korean text within video formats such as GIFs.)
You can refine the translated output yourself to align with your brand image or product characteristics. Feel free to adjust the phrasing to sound more natural —from the project title and summary to your maker name, Rewards settings, and the entire Story body.
⚠️ Please note!
Edited translations are also subject to wadiz’s review standards. Please avoid exaggerated claims such as “100% effectiveness guaranteed” or “false certifications.” The more carefully you review and edit AI-translated content, the more you’ll build trust with your supporters.
2) English Story Creation Service

AI-powered automatic translation alone may not fully capture the nuanced sensibility unique to your brand. In such cases, we offer an English Story Creation Service, which helps you redesign your design and storyline to resonate with international supporters. Through wadiz’s official partners, you can receive high-quality content optimized for overseas markets.
If you’re a maker who hasn’t prepared your product detail page yet, why not combine it with our existing Korean Story creation serviceto streamline your preparations. By conducting both the Korean and English Story creation services simultaneously, you can craft a consistent brand story designed with global expansion in mind from the very beginning.
- What if you already have Korean design files?
We can create an English Story through localization planning and design revisions. - Want to do this at the same time as creating your Korean Story?
You can apply for both the Korean and English story creation services as a combined package. The scope of production and specific details can be adjusted based on the project’s scale, such as whether photography is required or the story’s length.

Tip:3 Things You Mustn’t Overlook When PreparingGlobalProduct Detail Pages
1️⃣ Improve the quality by “reviewing it yourself” after automatic translation
Wadiz’s AI translation will quickly convert your Story into a foreign language. Review the translated text to see if there are any parts—such as unique expressions specific to your brand or key product values—that you’d like to convey more effectively. If you, the maker, polish the text one more time yourself, it will significantly boost your project’s credibility.
2️⃣ Be sure to check wadiz’s “Review Guidelines”
Global projects undergo the same review process as domestic ones. In particular, you must carefully check the English translation to ensure it doesn’t contain exaggerated claims such as “100% Guarantee.”
3️⃣ Don’t be afraid to communicate with international supporters
When you have practical concerns like, “How do I set international shipping fees?” or “I’m struggling to come up with ad copy that appeals to local supporters,” ask WAi, your personalized AI partner for success strategies. It can summarize the information you need or suggest compelling ideas, helping you save time on preparation.

2. Handle International Shipping Easily with Our Official Partners
From complex export declarations to logistics contracts, we take the hassle off the maker's hands.
| Category | wadiz Official Partner Shipping Carriers |
Direct Shipping (Individual Contracts) |
| Export Declaration |
The shipping carrier charges a per-order fee and handles the declaration |
Makers file declarations directly or arrange for a separate agent |
| Operating Process | Processing is complete once shipping information is entered and the goods are delivered to the designated location | Preparation of customs clearance documents and processing of individual shipments |
| Key Benefits | Recognition of export performance and preferential access to government support programs | Maker Autonomous Operation |
“Isn’t international shipping just a matter of sending the package?”
"Is it really that different from the domestic shipping I usually do?"
Makers new to international shipping might think this way. But when hundreds or thousands of orders come flooding in, it’s a whole different story. Unless you’re an expert, managing that volume one by one is no easy task. That’s exactly when wadiz steps in to be your reliable partner.
Logistics Management Through wadiz’s Official Partner Carriers
Wadiz connects makers with our official international shipping partnersso they can access these services at reasonable prices. Of course, if they already have a shipping provider they use, they’re welcome to continue with it—but if they’re looking for a more efficient process, we recommend taking advantage of the logistics network wadiz has established.

The biggest advantage is that the shipping company handles the cumbersome “export declaration” processon your behalf. Since wadiz Global Projects involve “exporting” products from Korea to other countries, it’s necessary to report the product information to the Korea Customs Service.
For companies preparing to expand overseas, export declarationis an essential procedure. You must have your export performance officially recognized to receive benefits such as trade finance, insurance, and tax refunds, and this documentation also serves as proof when applying for future government-supported export programs. Above all, official proof of sales significantly helps boost your company’s creditworthiness and gain the trust of overseas buyers.
Handling this paperwork with a shipping partner rather than on your own can reduce the operational workload for you as a maker. First, please fill out the overseas shipping inquiry and application form in detail and submit it. Our dedicated department will then review the eligibility and conditions for shipping your Rewards overseas and connect you with a suitable partner. After confirming various conditions, including shipping eligibility, we’ll send you an email detailing the partner’s rates and contract terms.
Tip:3 Key Points to Keep in Mind forInternationalShipping
1️⃣ Be sure to consider these 5 factors when calculating international shipping costs
You can’t just look at weight alone. To set an appropriate shipping fee, you need to comprehensively calculate the Rewards’ weight and volume, the distance to each country, and customs duties and value-added tax (VAT) at the time of customs clearance.
2️⃣ You can set the estimated shipping date with plenty of leeway—up to “11 months after the campaign ends”
Since international shipping involves long distances from the origin to the destination, you must allow ample time for delivery. Rest assured that, just like our existing policy, you can set a generous timeframe.
3️⃣ If you’re feeling overwhelmed, turn to Maker Center and WAi
If you’re wondering, “Which export declaration type is best for us?” ask WAi, your AI partner for tailored success strategies. We’ll summarize the complex information available on Maker Center and provide you with the answers right away.

1) BizCenter Overseas Targeting

If you want to promote your project worldwide, go to Biz Center to select the countries you want and start running targeted social media ads. If you select “Countries other than Korea,” you can run ads in the [Countries Eligible to Participate in the Project] or [All Countries] . You can run ads by specifically selecting only the countries you want from these lists. You can target your audience precisely by gender, age, and country to maximize ad effectiveness.
- How to set it up: Biz Center > Create Ad > Create New Campaign > On the “Enter Target Information” tab, select“Countries Other Than Korea” and check the desired countries
⚠️ Please be sure to check this!
- Campaign Separation: You cannot select both “Korea” and “Countries Other Than Korea” at the same time. Please create separate campaigns for domestic and international audiences.
- Age Restrictions: In accordance with global policies, the target age is automatically set to 21 and older; targeting users 21 and younger is not possible.
- Excluded Countries: China, Russia, and Taiwan are excluded from targeting due to local advertising regulations.
- Supported Formats: Currently, display ads and push notifications do not support global targeting; please focus on social media targeted ads.
2) AI Translation Feature

English-language content is essential for clearly communicating with international supporters. For makers who find creating English content burdensome, the Biz Center offers an AI translation feature. It easily translates not only the ad text you enter yourself but also text within images, allowing you to launch global campaigns immediately without any additional design edits.
- Setup Instructions: On the "Enter Ad Creative Information" tab, upload text and images > Click the [AI Translation] button at the top > Review the translated results, make any necessary edits, and save
📌 Please note!
- Supported Formats: This feature applies only to text and images you enter manually; translation is not available for videos or GIFs.
- Final Review: The AI cannot guarantee 100% visual accuracy. We recommend that the maker personally check the text’s position, font size, and alignment after translation to ensure they look natural, and make any necessary adjustments.
Tip: 3-Point Checklist for Boosting Global Ad Performance
1️⃣ Start small with image assets
BizCenter’s AI translation is currently optimized for text and image assets. If you need to get up and running quickly and test your campaign, we recommend starting with image assets to gauge the response from your global supporters.
2️⃣ Use country-specific targeting strategically
Instead of running ads in every country, start by targeting the countries most likely to be enthusiastic about your product. The more you narrow your target audience, the more effective you’ll be at improving your return on ad spend (ROAS).
3️⃣ Double-check the nuances of the translated copy
Make sure the automatically translated text accurately captures your brand’s appeal. Since there may be cultural differences or subtle nuances, if you, the maker, personally polish the wording to make it a bit smoother, it will come across as much more authentic to your international supporters.

🔍 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- Q: Do I need to obtain Rewards certifications or register trademarks in advance for each country?
A: If it’s a “reverse cross-border shopping” scenario where overseas supporters purchase small quantities for personal use, you can usually ship the products without any special permits or certifications. Trademark registration is also not mandatory, but if a similar trademark already exists in that country, there’s a risk of customs issues or legal disputes, so we recommend checking in advance. - Q: Who is responsible for paying customs duties, and how are payments and settlements handled?
A: In principle, customs duties are paid directly by the local supporter. However, depending on the shipping carrier’s contract terms, the maker may be responsible for these costs, so please check in advance. For payments and settlements, makers can proceed as usual in Korean won (KRW). While overseas supporters will see the amount in their local currency with the exchange rate applied, makers do not have to go through any complicated currency conversion procedures. - Q: Are there any specific qualifications required to run a wadiz global project?
A: Most makers who meet the existing eligibility requirements for wadiz projects can run a Global Project. However, if you offer Rewards that are prohibited from being exported from Korea or require age verification for adults 19 years of age or older, you will not be able to run the project.
