Wadiz Funding: 6 Steps at a Glance
① Create a Project
② Launch the Project
③ Project Closure and Supporter Payments
④ Preliminary Settlement
⑤ Rewards Production and Shipping
⑥ Final Settlement
STEP 1. Create a Project
This is the step where you fill out the information needed to launch your project. You don’t have to be a business owner to launch a funding campaign.

💡 Important Note
Your project won’t go live immediately after you create it. You can edit the information at any time before launching, so feel free to review all the necessary details first!
STEP 2. Launch Your Project
Once you’ve finished creating your project, click “Schedule Launch” to set your desired launch date and time. On wadiz, makers can launch their projects immediately on the date and time of their choice, without any prior screening or approval process.

- launching soon Pre-launch:This is a period—ranging from a minimum of 7 days to a maximum of 25 days before the actualfunding begins—during which you can preview your project. During this time, people interested in the project can sign up for notifications. By gathering interested supporters before the launch, you can drive more participation as soon as the funding campaign begins.
- Project Launch and Closure:This is the period during which the actual funding takes place, lasting from a minimum of 7 days to a maximum of 60 days afterthe launching soon period. Funding begins on the set launch date and automatically closes on the end date.
💡 Important Note
- After the project goes live, AI monitoringis conducted, and depending on the results, you may be asked to modify project information or submit additional documents.
- If this is your first funding campaign, we highly recommend launching soon.
STEP 3. Project Closure and Supporter Payment
At midnight (24:00) on the end date you set in STEP 2, the project will automatically close, and on wadiz, payments are processed after the funding project ends only if the funding goal is met.
Therefore, supporter payments are processed over the two days following the project’s end, and the final amount—once all payments are complete—becomes the funding proceeds (success payment) paid to the maker.
💡 Important Note
For projects that do not reach their funding goal, no payments are processed from supporters, and no wadiz fees are charged. Since there are no costs for the maker to bear, don’t be afraid of failure—just give it a try.
STEP 4. Advance Settlement
Once the two-day payment period in STEP 3 is complete, you can receive an advance payment of a portion of the successfully processed amount (funding proceeds). To help reduce the financial burden of producing Rewards and other expenses, wadiz offers an advance payment policy that allows you to receive up to 80% of the funding proceeds upfront.
Advance Settlement Payment Criteria
| Funding Amount Under 10 Million Won | 80% of the amount after fees are deducted |
| Funding amount of 10 million won or more | 60% of the amount after deducting fees |
Advance Settlement Payment Timing
- Within 5 business days of the project end date: Preliminary settlement statement sent
- After the preliminary settlement statement is sent: The preliminary settlement amount is paid on the nearest settlement date (Mon, Wed, Fri, excluding public holidays)
💡 Important Note
For Funding and pre-order projects exclusive to the domestic market, advance settlement payments are disbursed automatically without the need for a separate application.
STEP 5. Rewards Production and Shipping
Once you’ve received the advance payment, it’s time to produce the Rewards and deliver them to your supporters. Set the rewards shipping period in Maker Studio, ship the rewards within that period, and click ‘Shipping Complete’ to complete the final settlement.
💡 Important Information
- Final Settlement Amount = Funding Amount - (wadiz Commission + Interim Settlement Amount + Refund Amount)
- Final Settlement Date Calculator
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. Do I need to apply to receive an advance settlement?
A. No. For “Domestic Exclusive” funding and pre-order projects, advance payments are automatically disbursed without the need for a separate application. Once the settlement statement is sent after the supporter’s payment is complete, the funds will be deposited within 5 business days.
Q. What happens if I miss the Rewards shipping deadline?
A. There are no penalties for exceeding the shipping deadline. However, to maintain trust with your supporters, we recommend setting a realistic shipping date and notifying them in advance via News if the schedule changes.
Q. What is the difference between “Launching Soon” and “Launch”?
A. “Launching Soon” is a feature that allows you to preview your project—similar to a wedding invitation—for up to 25 days before the main funding campaign begins, gathering users who sign up for notifications. If this is your first funding campaign, we recommend using “Launching Soon” to secure supporters in advance. According to wadiz data, notifications collected during the “Launching Soon” phase accounted for approximately 58% of initial sales at launch. (Based on January–May 2026)
