01. What are Rewards?
Rewards refer to a product or service provided to supporters who participate in a project as a token of appreciation. It’s not simply a commodity exchanged for money; it symbolizes support for the maker’s project.
Why are they necessary?
Supporters don’t visit wadiz because they need a specific product right now. Wadiz supporters are characterized by an exploratory consumption pattern—they’re looking for “interesting projects.” Therefore, even if they don’t need the product immediately, they may decide to engage in funding if they find the Rewards appealing or sense the maker’s sincerity. In other words, wadiz Stories require a process of “persuasion” rather than the straightforward presentation of facts commonly found in e-commerce.

Key Considerations for Business Owners Before Designing Rewards
Before defining the characteristics of your Rewards, you must first identify what makes your product or service appealing to supporters. An analysis of successful wadiz funding campaigns shows that Rewards characteristics can be broadly categorized into three areas: functionality, materials, and design. Start by identifying which of these three categories best fits your product.
Once you’ve chosen a category, try using the guide below. First, identify the strengths and unique selling points of your product or service, then write out specific “reasons” to persuade your supporters.
[Example]
1. (Function) Ourproduct is comfortable because we used a highly elastic material.
2. (Material) Ourproduct is warm because we use a special coating process.
3. (Design) Our product is beautiful. This is because it was designed with patterns tailored to Koreans.
Well-crafted, appealing rewards can encourage supporters to make a payment more quickly and help increase the total amount raised for the project.
02. How to Structure Rewards
1) Combine single items with sets
When designing Rewards, we recommend combining single-item and set options.
Single-item rewards are individual products or experiential rewards. Combining them with set rewards can attract more supporters. Some supporters may prefer to try just one product first, or those living alone or in small households may prefer smaller quantities. Additionally, after supporters have tried a single-item reward and are satisfied, you can encourage them to participate in funding for a set reward during an encore campaign.
A set reward consists of multiple products or services. In Maker Studio, you can choose between ① a single-item reward and ② a set reward when setting up your campaign.
2) Use this formula when writing Rewards names
The reward name is the most important piece of information for supporters to remember the reward. It’s most effective to write it according to the formula below.
- [Early Bird Badge] + [Brand/Product Name] + [Contents]
- [Early Bird Badge] + [Set (Package) or Product Name] + [Product Name] +[Contents]
Use clear and precise reward names so that supporters can easily find the rewards they read about in your Story at a glance. If you’re creating a bundle, giving it a unique name based on the context, duration, or quantity will help supporters remember it longer.
Adding an “Early Bird” badge increases visibility. However, do not include the benefit name “[Super Early Bird]” before the reward name. This redundant information actually obscures the reward name. Highlight the appeal of each package by including unique selling points such as “Maximum Benefits,” “Limited to 100,” “Wadiz Only,” or “Launch Event.”

3) Please include the following 5 items in the Rewards description
The reward description is the information supporters see when they open the reward card. Please be sure to include all of the items listed below. The reward description can be up to 400 characters long.
| Items to Fill Out | Example |

If you’re unsure how to write your Rewards description, we recommend checking out other projects in the same category as the one you’re launching. For example, we analyzed the top 5 words used to describe rewards in the rewards descriptions of successful projects from 2025–2026!
| Rank | Words | Usage Count | Meaning |
| 1 | Premium | 41,789 | Highlight premium/top-tier Rewards |
| 2 | Plain | 22,276 | Basic/Simple Design |
| 3 | Standalone | 20,977 | wadiz Exclusive Bundle/Exclusive |
| 4 | Recommended | 18,465 | Maker's Recommended Bundle |
| 5 | Premium | — (Top Tier) | Quality Attributes |
The analysis showed that successful projects strongly tend to position their rewards as “premium.” They also use the term “exclusive” to convey scarcity and the word “recommended” to build trust. Additionally, as mentioned earlier, they specify the “basic” version—such as “plain”—to clearly highlight the unique features of each reward tier, encouraging users to compare and choose between different tiers.
4) Be sure to upload Rewards images to boost conversion rates
Wadiz offers a feature that allows you to increase payment conversion rates without having to increase advertising budgets or devise new marketing strategies—provided your Rewards are well-designed. This feature is the Rewards image.
The main Rewards image is the representative image you can upload for each option during the “Add Rewards” step when creating a project in Maker Studio. It appears alongside the Rewards option description on the project page viewed by supporters, allowing them to grasp the Rewards’ composition, color, and quantity at a glance.

An analysis of wadiz project data from May 2026 revealed that projects with a Rewards main image had a 1.7 times higher funding conversion rate than those without one.
| Projects with Featured Images | Projects without a featured image | |
| Rewards Click-Through Rate | 30.9% | 23.6% |
| Funding Conversion Rate | 8.2% | 4.6% |
Can’t you really feel just how much of an impact a single representative image has on a supporter’s decision to make a payment?
So, what kind of image should you upload? We’ve summarized the criteria for a good rewards image in the table below. Be sure to check it before uploading your rewards image!

03. How to Set Rewards Amounts
1) How to Set Rewards Amounts
There are two main methods for setting Rewards amounts. Choose the strategy that best suits the nature of your product.
① Cost-based pricing: This methodsets the price based on thecostof producingthe product. You can offer a price discount to encourage supporters to participate.
② Value-based pricing: This methodsets prices basedonthe value you can provideto supporters. If your product offers value that exceeds its production cost, an unusually low price may not be the most effective approach. Focus on conveying the value of your product and brand, and set a price that reflects that value.
2) Include flagship Rewards with a high average transaction value
We recommend that the unit price of your flagship Rewards be 70,000 won or higher. If the average order value is too low, it will be difficult to raise a significant amount even with a large number of supporters; conversely, if it’s too high, the payment amount may seem burdensome, causing potential supporters to hesitate.
For lower-priced rewards, try creating “bulk sets.” This involves bundling multiple individual items to create a higher-value reward. Adding a price discount to the set makes it even more effective. Please refer to the average amount of Pay later rewards by category from actual successful wadiz projects.
| Category | Average Rewards Pay Later Amount |
| Beauty | Average in the 130,000 won range |
| Home & Living | Average in the high 120,000 won range |
| Fashion & Accessories | Average in the low 130,000 won range |
| Tech & Appliances | Average in the mid 130,000 won range |
| Food | Average in the 100,000 won range |
Please note that figures may vary depending on the product’s appeal and composition. Use this information for reference only.
04. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. Can I modify Rewards amounts and options after the campaign launches?
A. Reward amounts, discount information, quantity limits, countries and shipping fees, Rewards configurations, and options cannot be modified after the funding launches. However, you can still update the reward name, reward description, main image, early bird benefit badge, and add new Rewards even after the funding launches.

Q. Can I set an early bird period to limit payments for that option?
A. Early bird offers can only be limited by quantity, not by time. The quantity limit refers to the total number of units available for that Reward; once that quantity is fully funded, supporters can no longer select that Reward.
Q. How do I set shipping fees?
A. If shipping is free, enter 0 won; otherwise, enter a specific amount. If additional shipping fees apply based on quantity or region, please add a “Shipping Fee Rewards” option. You may also want to refer to the guide on setting shipping fees for remote and mountainous areas.
