「ニュース・アップデート」とは何ですか?
News Updates are a communication channel for reaching supporters, and can be posted at any point while a project is running.
Use News Updates to share event announcements, launch news, shipping schedules, and more — and build trust with your supporters along the way.
01. What is a News Update?
- The News Update board becomes active once a Launching Soon project goes public.
- You can choose which type of supporter to address (All / Only Supporters / Wishlisted / Notified / Signed Petition) and post as often, and in whatever format, you like — there's no limit on frequency or format.
- When you publish a News Update, you can send supporters an app push notification and an email.

02. How to write a News Update
You can write and publish a News Update directly from Maker Studio > News Updates.
- When posting a News Update, you can choose whether to send a notification and which type of supportershould receive it.
- Choosing whether to send a notification:In the [Send Notification] section at the bottom of the update, select one of the following:

- Supporters who signed up for notifications

- Supporters who signed the petition
- Choosing whether to send a notification:In the [Send Notification] section at the bottom of the update, select one of the following:
- We recommend posting no more than once every 3 days. Posting a News Update every day can actually increase supporter fatigue rather than build engagement.
- Avoid posting very early in the morning or late at night. Posting between 11 AM and 5 PM tends to work best.

03. Pinning a News Update to the top of your story
- You can pin one News Update to the top of your story for extra visibility.
- To pin an update, check the box in the top-right corner of the News Update editor.
- An update written and pinned during the Launching Soon period disappears once the project officially opens. After the project opens, write and pin a new update to keep this feature active.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q1. Can I use the 'News Updates' section to promote an encore or upcoming funding project?
A. Yes, you can leverage the News Updates from previous campaigns to promote upcoming encore funding or introduce new reward additions. Many creators successfully drive repeat participation by engaging prior supporters through these updates.
Q2. What types of content are most effective for 'News Updates'?
A. To maximize supporter engagement, we recommend sharing the following:
- Milestones & Deadlines: Announcements on reaching funding goals or final call reminders near the campaign closing date.
- Feedback & Improvements: Updates on how supporter feedback was reflected to improve the reward.
- Events & Engagement: Recruitment for tester/trial groups, review events, and coupon promotions.
- Operations & Post-campaign: Shipping schedules, delay notifications, exchange policies, and Warranty/After-Sales Service (A/S) guidelines.
Q3. Can I continue posting 'News Updates' even after the funding campaign ends?
A. Yes, post-campaign communication is highly encouraged. Maintaining active touchpoints after the campaign — such as sharing fulfillment status, requesting reviews, or announcing upcoming encore launches — helps boost supporter retention and drives traffic to your online store.
Q4. What precautions should I keep in mind when posting News Updates?
A. There are three main things to keep in mind when posting News Updates.
- Avoid sending overly promotional messages repeatedly.
- If there are delays or issues with shipping, announce them quickly and honestly.
- Always include responses to supporter feedback and what you've improved, to build trust.
